Setup Timezone in Ubuntu & Sync your clock

When you install a brand new *NIX server, We need to make sure your time zone is accurate, At least I do – I am in EST NY Time zone, I will show you how to set this up.

I am assuming you’ve root shell access

sudo timedatectl set-ntp on
sudo timedatectl set-timezone America/New_York sudo timedatectl set-ntp on
